Will ‘Broadway’s Clydeside!’ be as ambitious as it wants to be?
The creators of Clydeside! (working title) plan to live stream the Broadway play for the first time.
If they live stream, it will be the first time a Broadway play has been streamed live from New York. Just last month, actress Rashida Jones finished a huge live stream on her website. It’s a place she shares highlights from her personal life with her followers.
Broadway producer Joanna Gleason, along with two other women, launched the live stream on Oct. 22, inviting viewers to watch her journey to the actual opening night of Broadway play Clydeside! .
The play will also be produced on Amazon Video and globally on Linkedin. An app was also created for iPhone.
Directed by Tom Hedley, Clydeside! follows two women, Annie and Lizzy, as they tell their stories of living and working in working class neighborhoods in London and Glasgow respectively.
